Hello! Air France is a great option if you're thinking about taking a flight out of Air France EWR Terminal for an international trip. From check-in to boarding, my recent flight with them from EWR to Paris was seamless and surprisingly serene for such a crowded airport.

Convenience at Terminal B

Newark's Terminal B, which is home to numerous international carriers, is where Air France is based. Despite not being the most ostentatious terminal at EWR, it has one major advantage: compared to Terminal C (United's hub), it is much less chaotic. The check-in desks for Air France are conveniently located and efficiently run. There were many self-service kiosks when I got there, and kind employees were available to aid passengers who needed it. The bag drop line ran swiftly even at busy times, and the staff made a fantastic first impression by remaining composed, cordial, and effective.

Smooth Security and a Surprisingly Comfortable Gate Area

At Newark, security can be a wild card, but at Terminal B, it went much more smoothly than I had anticipated. I finished in roughly twenty minutes. There was none of the confusion or disarray I've encountered at other foreign terminals, the signage was clear, and the TSA officers were courteous.

The airside area was surprisingly calm and operational after security. I located a cozy seat close to the gate with outlets, which is essential for charging my laptop and phone before the lengthy journey. Although Terminal B isn't the most up-to-date, it was tidy, peaceful, and had everything I needed, including good food and coffee shops close by.

Access to the Lufthansa Lounge

One big perk of flying Air France in business class or being a SkyTeam Elite member is lounge access. At EWR, Air France uses the Lufthansa Business Lounge in Terminal B. It’s a lovely spot to unwind before your flight, with a solid buffet, drinks, comfortable seating, and a peaceful atmosphere. It felt like a world away from the typical airport hustle.

Air France Staff and Boarding Experience

When it came time to board, the Air France staff were top-notch — friendly, bilingual, and incredibly organized. Boarding was by group, clearly announced, and moved efficiently. There was no crowding at the gate or confusion about when to line up. It’s clear the staff are experienced in managing international flights and passengers with varying needs.

Why Choose Air France at EWR?

In summary, Air France is dependable, effective, and customer-focused at EWR. You will have a professional, stress-free experience with an airline that prioritizes service, even though you won't have the glitz of some of the newest terminals. The journey got off to a great start thanks to the smooth boarding process, the easy-to-navigate terminal, and the availability of a first-rate lounge.
