Air Canada MCO Terminal, which mostly serves international and a few domestic aircraft, is where Air Canada operates. The airline and other Star Alliance partners share space at the check-in area, which is situated on the A/B side of the main terminal. My flight to Toronto was around two and a half hours away, so I had plenty of time to explore the terminal without feeling hurried.
Check-In & Security Experience
Because they were clearly marked and manned by amiable Air Canada employees, the check-in counters were simple to locate. I still had to drop off a bag even though I had already checked in online. Even though there were other families in front of me, the procedure was effective and the line moved swiftly. The self-serve kiosks operated without any problems, and I valued the friendly Air Canada employees that helped passengers and responded to their inquiries.
Although MCO security can be erratic, the TSA queue in Terminal B went more quickly than I had anticipated. The wait was about fifteen minutes, but it felt well-managed, and there were plenty of lanes free. After passing through, I used the automated tram system—a mainstay of Orlando's design to enter the airside gates.
Terminal Amenities and Comfort
Airside 4 is one of the newer, more modern parts of MCO, and it shows. The design is open and spacious, with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. The seating areas near the Air Canada gate were clean and not overly crowded. Charging outlets were readily available, and I even found a quiet corner near the windows to do a bit of work before boarding.
Food options are decent in this part of the terminal. There’s a Cask & Larder (a Southern-inspired restaurant), Auntie Anne’s, Starbucks, and a couple of grab-and-go spots. Not fine dining, but enough to cover your bases — coffee, snacks, a proper meal, or even a drink before boarding.
Boarding and Final Thoughts
Boarding was prompt and organized. Air Canada staff maintained a clear structure with priority boarding for families, elite members, and passengers needing assistance. The gate agents were polite and efficient — it didn’t feel chaotic like some other gates I’ve experienced.
Overall, Air Canada at MCO offered a reliable, well-managed airport experience. The terminal was clean, comfortable, and easy to navigate. While MCO is known for its busy atmosphere, Air Canada seems to have carved out a small pocket of calm and efficiency. Whether you're flying home to Canada or starting a new journey, Terminal B’s Air Canada operation delivers a smooth start.
